snow days are a gift from God for seniors. one more day to prolong the senioritis. one more day to do the homework we were supposed to do the night before. and one more day to be away from the place we are so very close to turning our backs on.
but today reminded me that i'm just not
but what i realized is that i'm just not ready to leave behind the people that i depend on so much more than i realize. i'm going to miss nacho nights with hannah. road trips to north carolina. working out (on the rare occasion we force ourselves to go). and more than that, just being a drive away. i'm going to miss riding to school with spencer. no matter how much i hate waking up in the morning having someone to ride with always makes it a little better. i'm going to miss our love-hate relationship. and i'm going to miss having someone i know i can always count on to cheer me up. i'm going to miss maggie's random texts that always make me bust out laughing. and while i know being at different colleges won't keep us from texting, i know it won't be the same. i'm going to miss poetry pod. definitely not the work. but the conversation. the laughter. her infectious personality. and i'll miss madison. everything about her. our starbucks runs on friday mornings. our vent sessions on the phone. our way too alike personalities. i'll miss how feisty she is. and more than anything i'll miss having a friend so much like myself by my side.
i'm so incredibly blessed that two of my best friends are going on the next part of my journey with me. my sister, my best friend, my other half. and the boy who plays hard to get. i don't know where all three of our paths will take us. but what i do know is that God placed us on the same one for a reason. i can't wait to see what he has in store for us. i don't know what His plans are for me, but as for the other two, i know it's something great.
all it took was a snow day. two hours off of school. sledding with my best friends. and suddenly i realize how much i love them and everything they mean to me. i'm not ready to say goodbye. but i know that when i do, it won't be forever. and i know that each and everyone of you has something so special, so beautiful, and so different inside of you that you will leave your mark wherever it is life takes you. so watch out tuscaloosa, starkville, bowling green, and germantown (for one more year). prepare for your world to be rocked. prepare for extraordinary.
just remember, there is always a place for you in knoxville. and more than that, in my heart. (cheesy i know).
i love you guys, so much.
